Day trip to Bohemian Switzerland National Park

From Pravčická Gate to Bastei Bridge: A Scenic Single Day Escape from Prague

A day trip to Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland is a perfect escape into dramatic landscapes and natural wonders. Starting with the iconic Pravčická Gate, the largest natural sandstone arch in Europe, visitors can stroll through forested trails and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding cliffs and valleys. The path then leads down to the tranquil Edmund Gorges, where wooden boats glide silently between high canyon walls while boatmen steer and share stories of the region. Just across the border in Germany, the famous Bastei Bridge offers panoramic views of the Elbe River and the rugged rock formations that define the Saxon part of the park. This route is a showcase of Central Europe’s most picturesque nature spots in one unforgettable day.
